BEGINNING LEGO NXT ROBOTICS DAY CAMP CLASS DESCRIPTION This is a five-day fun and creative learning experience for kids to attend during the summer. Kids work in collaboratively to solve challenges by building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorms (NXT) Robotics Invention System. In addition to having fun, participants learn about mechanical and software design, problem solving, and teamwork skills. Student teams will complete several projects and mini challenges, and will have an opportunity to design and program a robot to solve FIRST LEGO League robot competition challenges from past FLL seasons and some of our own challenging in house developed challenges.

Camp counselors and Robotics Instructors
All of our camp counselors and robotic instructors are adults with years of experience and expertise. Many of them volunteer their time to help make these camps so successful. Each of our instructors come with a minimum of 3 years Robotic Team Couching experiences. Also, many guest visits will be made from the AYRS tournament committees, these are people who organize the Alberta Competitions!
Equipment
ALL of our equipment is brand new NXT versions identical to those used at the provincial championship. We evergreen our equipment so that each summer camp season begins with brand new NXT robots.
The location for all camp sessions will be announced upon the completion of our new Robotics Learning Lab facility.
